In response to Itamar Gilad's excellent post on Airbnb's elimination of product management roles (https://lnkd.in/gZdtubFq), I'd like to offer some additional perspective from a Designer who functions in the role of a PM (and CEO). There’s a natural tension to the PM, designer, and engineer triad that requires balancing design aspirations, market demands, and organizational dynamics.
