Design research isn't a matter of doing it or skipping it.

I enjoyed Caitlin Sullivan's post (https://lnkd.in/gSU5wDBu) about Airbnb's design change without research. Designers don’t always need research in their process. It's not mandatory—research is there to support decisions when needed. Experienced designers can share ideas with or without research, and the choice to pause for input often happens naturally, not because of a requirement.
